Shortlisted for two Pineapple Awards
January 28, 2026
Brent Cross Town lands two shortlist nominations for the prestigious Pineapple Awards 2026 categories, ‘Activation’ and ‘Child-friendly place’.
The Pineapple Awards celebrate projects and places that make a positive social, environmental and economic impact. The 108 is the first indoor baseball and softball centre in Europe shortlisted in the ‘Activation’ category; recognising how well a space is used in encouraging people to visit, spend time, interact, and build community. The 108 officially opened at Brent Cross Town in January 2024, and since last year, popular padel courts have been introduced as part of their available facilities.
Additionally, our much-loved Claremont Park is shortlisted for the ‘Child-friendly place’ category which celebrates places that support the needs, wellbeing and experiences of children and young people, including parks where under-18s can explore, play and learn at safely. With approximately 33,000 visitors a month last year and plenty of events hosted, we’re proud of the space Claremont Park has provided for children, families and young people.
The teams behind the projects will now present their entries at The Festival of Pineapples taking place between 24 – 26 February 2026. This will be a live-streamed online event which you can register to watch here.
In 2024, Brent Cross West station won a Pineapple Award for the ‘Infrastructure’ category after the opening created a huge positive change for the local community in improving connections and providing a gateway to Brent Cross Town.
Congratulations to everyone in being shortlisted for this year’s Pineapple Awards and best of luck on the night. Winners will be announced on Wednesday 22 April and you can read the full shortlist of categories here.
Brent Cross Town is the new park town at the heart of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme, which is being delivered in partnership between Related Argent and Barnet Council.
