Roadworks will take place on Tilling Road from 30 July to 3 December 2021.

This is to allow the installation of drainage networks which will serve the new Brent Cross West station as well as the wider Brent Cross Town development.

The programme will include two weekends where the road is completely closed for vehicles in late July and early August. During the rest of the period mentioned above, Tilling Road will be open to all westbound traffic throughout.

Clear signage and diversions will be in place. This will not affect pedestrian walkways, but bus diversions will be put in place.

Work schedule

Works commence: Friday 30 July to Friday 3 December 2021.

Contractors: VolkerFitzpatrick

Work programme:

Roadworks will take place on Tilling Road, between the junction of Brent Terrace and the A406/M1 roundabout. Tilling Road will be open to all westbound traffic, but the section from Brent Terrace to the A406/M1 junction will be closed eastbound to all traffic.

Safe pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.

During the two weekend works, bus diversion routes will be in operation. Tilling Road bus stop S will be closed; alternative bus stops are bus stop L (Brent Cross Shopping Centre) for 112, 142, 182, 189, 232, 266 and N266 services; and bus stop V (Mapledown School) for 226, 245, 260 and 460 services. The standard bus routes all typically stop at Brent South Retail Park. However, this will be suspended for the two sets of weekend works and the nearest alternative bus stop will be at the Brent Cross Shopping Centre. TfL will monitor bus operations in the area and alter real time bus information accordingly, and bus stop closures and planning journeys are available on the TfL bus website.
