Transport for London (TfL) is inviting residents to take part in a new consultation on proposals for the West London Orbital (WLO).

The WLO is a planned rail service that is intended to connect communities across West London and become part of the London Overground network.

The proposed route will roughly run 11 miles (17km) and would link Hendon with Hounslow, using existing passenger lines and serving twelve stations along the way. Plans also include four new stations at Harlesden, Neasden, Old Oak Common and Lionel Road. At Brent Cross West, the station was built with provisions for the WLO. The new rail service aims to:

• Provide quicker and easier journeys across West London
• Increase capacity on the transport network
• Offer an alternative to car travel
• Support the delivery of new homes and jobs along the route

The consultation is open until Wednesday 18 November 2026. Residents, businesses and community groups are encouraged to take part and share details with friends, family and local networks who may be interested in the future of transport in West London. A few drop-in events will also be held throughout the consultation period, giving residents the opportunity to discuss the proposals, ask questions and speak directly with members of the project team.
