Cricklewood Lane improvements complete
July 15, 2020
Works to improve the Claremont Road / Cricklewood Lane / Lichfield Road junctions have now been completed. The works began at the end of January and have been completed just two weeks later than planned, despite challenges faced by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The newly surfaced roads have been widened to provide a dedicated left turn lane from Cricklewood Lane into Claremont Road, new traffic signals have been installed along with improved pedestrian crossing facilities, street lighting, and new footways.
Improvements to this key junction will help reduce congestion and delays on the roads, improving air quality and decreasing journey times. While cycling infrastructure and public transport will be improved as part of the Brent Cross Cricklewood programme, this work will also ensure roads and junctions are fit for purpose as new homes and businesses are built in the future.
Works to improve the Cricklewood Broadway / A5 Edgware Road junction will begin in early September.
We will be writing to residents ahead of works starting and you can follow the improvements here.
