Clitterhouse Playing Fields
April 21, 2021
Clitterhouse Playing Fields is at the heart of our vision for our new park town, a 44-acre park that will offer local people new opportunities to take part in sport and play.
Work is about to begin on the first phase of improvements to Clitterhouse Playing Fields, creating enhanced new spaces for sport, play and relaxation.
The first phase will deliver a new multi-purpose lawn and natural amphitheatre, picnic areas, play areas, accessible paths and lighting. New sports facilities, including a multi-use netball/tennis court, basketball court, an all-wheel park, table tennis tables, and outdoor gym zones, will give residents more ways to get active.
In total we will plant 350 new trees and nine acres of wildflowers across the playing fields, with trees and flowers planted within the first phase to improve biodiversity and create new spaces to relax and roam.
