Our highways improvements are now complete at the A5 Cricklewood Broadway junction with Cricklewood Lane and Chichele Road. 

Work began in October 2020, and has delivered additional capacity for traffic travelling through the junction, particularly eastbound from Cricklewood Lane. Other improvements include signal modernisation, footway renovation, and new pedestrian crossings being installed. 

It has also changed the streetscape, with the four-storey building at the corner of Cricklewood Lane and Cricklewood Broadway being demolished to provide additional space to widen and realign the junction with Chichele Road. 

Demolition works took eight months, followed by four months of junction realignment works, signal modernisation, and carriageway resurfacing. 

The programme was planned to provide as little disruption as possible, and we are grateful to everyone for their cooperation and patience. Businesses stayed open as usual throughout the works. 

The improvements followed a similar scheme at the junction of Claremont Road, Cricklewood Lane and Lichfield Road, which took place in 2020.
