Take a look at the latest plans submitted for a small new park (referred to as a ‘urban pocket park’) and public space at Cricklewood Town Centre.

After engaging with residents, businesses, local groups and stakeholders, Barnet Council is pleased to announce that a planning application for works to create a new pocket park in Cricklewood Town centre has been submitted.

The proposed plans include installing a permanent retail space for small independent businesses and a new public space for residents to enjoy.

The concept design of the new building structure, shown in the image above, has taken inspiration from the famous church arches of Martin Lejarragas in Cartagena, Spain creating a landmark feature on the junction. New seating areas will be installed for public use, as well as plants and trees, creating a fresher and greener Cricklewood Town centre.

The works will transform the space opposite the previously re-modelled junction at Cricklewood Lane and Cricklewood Broadway, which was delivered in September 2021 as part of the Brent Cross Cricklewood Regeneration scheme.
