Popular Ukulele Workshops Return
April 19, 2024
Whether you’re a beginner, looking for a fun activity or want to pick up a new hobby, the popular Brent Cross Town ukulele workshops are back, and you are invited to join.
The first ukulele workshop was held in October 2023 as part of Silver Week (a celebration for older people to meet others) and Age UK Barnet. The event was so popular that many participants asked for it to become a regular occurrence, which Brent Cross Town have taken on board and are now offering more of these workshops.
The workshops are facilitated by the London Ukulele Project, who use music to bring people of all ages together, overcome loneliness, and promote wellbeing. In these workshops, participants sing along to timeless classics, and are taught how to play the instrument to plenty of songs.
Workshops will be held between April and June, at the Visitor Pavilion on Claremont Road, NW2 1FE on the following dates:
April: Monday 22 and Monday 29 from 10am to 12pm
May: Monday 13 and Monday 20 from 10am to 12pm
June: Monday 10 and Monday 17 from 10am to 12pm
The workshops are free and open to all ages, but please register here to confirm your space. No prior musical knowledge is needed to participate in, and ukuleles will be provided.
It is our aim to ensure that whilst there are many activities for children and families to take part in, especially during school breaks, that there is something for everyone at Brent Cross Town.
