Thousands celebrated at Summer Festival

June 28, 2024

On Friday 21 June, Brent Cross Town teamed up with Claremont and Childs Hill Primary Schools to put on an afternoon to remember, with over 3,000 people, mostly local families joining in the fun at Claremont Park.

We thank everyone who joined the celebration, including all the local businesses who made the day fun for everyone. Families enjoyed the day and children participated in plenty of games and fun activities such as circus skills by Circus Sensible, bubble workshops by Maxwell Bubbleologist, arts and crafts workshop by local community artist Anna van der Poorten, Face painting by Jojo’s Amazing Face Painting and loads more businesses which you can find listed here.

Dan Hawkins, Head Teacher of Claremont and Childs Hill Primary school said: “The Summer Festival was a joyous celebration for our schools and the wider community, the children and families of Childs Hill and Claremont enjoyed every second of it. Claremont Park was full of fun and laughter, this wonderful event brought hundreds of people together for an afternoon of good times. The children haven’t stopped talking about it! A huge thank you to Brent Cross Town from everyone at CHC federation for a very special day”.

Food and drinks stalls were also available, alongside Brent Cross Town’s favourite ice cream parlour Gussy’s, who of course, kept everyone cool with their famous ice cream cones. People enjoyed the sunny day whilst local band Solid Steel played live background music alongside DJ Mickey Lee.
