Carnival at Brent Cross Town
August 13, 2024
Join us for Brent Cross Town’s first ever carnival and family picnic at Claremont Park on Saturday 17 August, from 1pm to 6pm.
Popular local carnival group, Just In Carnival, will be hosting a fun event for the entire family this weekend, and you’re invited. This event has been organised by local resident and co-founder of Just In Carnival, Justin Thomas, to celebrate Caribbean Carnival culture through music, dance, and play.
The celebration will include a mix of free activities, including carnival costume making, steelpan workshops, carnival dance class, carnival fitness class, face painting, henna and more.
There will also be live performances throughout the afternoon from world-famous steelpan artists, including maestro Duvone Stewart, Pan Nation Steel Orchestra, Just In Carnival Dancers, a gospel choir and carnival DJs.
As well as participating in plenty of Brent Cross Town events, Just In Carnival were an important part of our opening celebration for Brent Cross West station. We look forward to enjoying their vibrant and joyful performances again.
You can bring a picnic or treat yourself from one of the local food retailers at Brent Cross Town, including pizza from Happy Face, or a snack from Gussy’s Ice Cream Parlour. Gussy will also be serving rum and raisin and mango ice creams on the day to add to the Caribbean spirit of the day.
