Have Your Say: Student Accommodation and Transport

September 13, 2024

Brent Cross Town has launched today (13 September) a public consultation and we want to hear your views. The proposals are for a student accommodation building (currently referred to as Plot 43b), as well as for transport interchange facilities at Brent Cross Town.

Brent Cross Town is working with Fusion Group, one of the UK’s leading residential and student housing developers, to deliver the second student accommodation at Brent Cross Town, which will provide high-quality student rooms. The proposals are set to provide 658 high-quality, purpose-built student rooms (including accessible accommodation), dining halls, cafes, study rooms, indoor and outdoor communal spaces, a fitness and wellness space and almost 500 cycle space

We also want to hear your views on the plans for the remainder of the Transport Interchange upgrade, which will include bus, taxi and motorcycle facilities. The aim of these facilities is to enable and improve travel connections for the local community, alongside the already well-used Brent Cross West station. These plans will be submitted through a dedicated planning application, separate to Plot 43b.

  • Thursday 19 September, 5.30pm to 6.30pm

Members of the project team, including representatives from Brent Cross Town, and the architects, will be available to answer any questions you may have about the proposals. You can also enjoy some tea and cake!

What happens next?

As there is already Outline Planning Permission for the Brent Cross Town area, a Reserved Matters Applications will be submitted to Barnet Council. This application will take into consideration the feedback where possible, and provide more information on the scale, appearance, design and other details.

Brent Cross Town is the new park town being delivered in partnership between Related Argent and Barnet Council, at the heart of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme.
