Enjoy family-friendly events and activities taking place at Brent Cross Town over the Spring break.
The Spring in the Park programme runs from Saturday 28 March until Sunday 12 April. All activities and events are free, but some require advance booking. Take a look at the programme:
Activities for all ages
Wild Art in the Park
Community artist Anna Van der Poorten will be facilitating creative arts and crafts workshops for adults and kids to enjoy at Claremont Park’s cabin. You’ll learn how to create willow dreamcatchers, leaf rubbing cards, insect hotels and much more. No booking is required, the workshops will take place once in the morning 11.30am to 1.30pm and once in the afternoon 2.30pm to 4.30pm, on these dates:
Saturday 28 March, Sunday 29 March, Tuesday 7 April, Wednesday 8 April and Thursday 9 April.
Family Nature workshops
Our Yard at Clitterhouse Farm are hosting Spring nature workshops where you can make a mini terrarium, create pressed‑flower art, and plant your own herbs and microgreens. No booking is required for these workshops, and they will take place 2pm to 4pm on these dates:
Friday 10 April – Make your own mini terrarium
Saturday 11 April – Pressed flower art
Sunday 12 April – Grow your own herbs and microgreens
Padel for Grown ups and Baseball for Kids
Whether your child is completely new or a familiar with the sport, The 108 is hosting fun baseball sessions for children over the age of five. At the same time, parents or guardians can also book themselves onto a free padel session which are ideal for beginners or players looking to sharpen their game in a relaxed environment. Both the baseball and padel sessions are free with all equipment provided, but registration is required here. The sessions will take place on the dates below from 11am to 12.30pm.
Saturday 28 March, and Saturday 4 April, Friday 10 April, Saturday 11 April and Sunday 12 April.
Activities for children
All-in-one skateboarding and photography workshop
Learn how to skate by Keep Rolling Project experts who’ll take you on an active day of skateboarding at Claremont Park, plus get you involved in a photography nature project. You’ll explore the outdoors and get creative with nature-themed photography all in one day. Participants will need to bring a packed lunch and a water bottle. You must book your space.
Monday 30 March and Tuesday 31 March from 10am to 3pm (sessions for 8-10 yrs)
Wednesday 1 April and Thursday 2 April from 10am to 3pm (sessions for 11-15 yrs)
Spring Nature Trail
From Saturday 28 March until Monday 4 April, you can collect a Spring Trail map from the Visitor Pavilion and take part in the discovery trail to learn more about the Spring wildlife in the area. You can claim your sweet treat back at the Visitor Pavilion once you complete the trails.
Activities for adults
Yoga for adults by Nadia from N’Dazzle
On Saturday mornings and Sunday evenings, Brent Cross Town is offering a rejuvenating yoga session at the Visitor Pavilion. The morning classes run from 8.30am to 9.45am and evening classes start from 5pm to 6.15pm. On Saturdays classes will be on 28 March, 4 April and 11 April. On Sundays, classes will be on 29 March and 12 April. Booking is required, reserve your spot here for Saturdays, and here for Sundays.
Brent Cross Town’s free book club takes place once a month at the Visitor Pavilion. The club is hosted by best-selling author and journalist Collette Lyons. It is open to everyone above
the age of 18, however you must register to attend. The next book club is on Saturday 28 March from 11am to 12pm, and the book covered will be Sankofa by Chibundo Onuzo. Details here.
We encourage all our visitors to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible. Parking on nearby residential streets is not permitted and enforcement patrols are in place. Claremont Way car park is open daily 24/7, and the Tilling Road Car Park is open from April to September, 7am to 7pm.
