Apply now: London Festival of Architecture Grants

February 11, 2025

The London Festival of Architecture (LFA) is back in Barnet and small grants from £250 to £500 are being offered to support community members and organisations fund their events for this year’s festival.

The LFA is a month-long celebration of architecture and creativity taking place throughout June and the theme for this year is all about ‘Voices’ and encouraging people to share their stories, perspectives, and create conversations that shape places in Barnet. You can be part of this year’s LFA by arranging your own events and activities for residents and visitors, which could be in the form of free walks, talks, exhibitions, workshops, performances, film screenings or art projects in Barnet.

Barnet Council Cabinet Member for Culture, Leisure, Arts & Sports, and Cricklewood Ward Member, Councillor Anne Clarke, said: “We are excited to welcome the LFA back for its third consecutive year to Barnet having built on the strength and success of projects and exemplary programmes from all those who have participated previously. We hope that this year’s Festival theme of ‘Voices’ will inspire the community to respond with its own unique voice reflecting the creativity, innovation and diversity of the borough. We encourage new voices to take part in this year’s Festival and encourage people from all backgrounds, young and old, as well as professional artists and architects to get involved and put forward ideas.”

Whilst grants from £250 to £500 are available to support you to fund your event, if you have a large project and want to apply for a grant over £500, please email sarah.turner@barnet.gov.uk to discuss your proposal ahead of the deadline for submissions.

Your LFA event must take place in Barnet, between 1 June and 30 June 2025 and be open to all members of the local community. The deadline to apply for this grant is Tuesday 25 February 2025 and applicants will be notified of the status of their application by Friday 28 February 2025.
