Autumn at Brent Cross Town: What’s On
Get involved in a range of exciting free events and activities for all ages at Brent Cross Town this autumn. From creative workshops, to movies, a Halloween dog parade and community photo exhibition, there’s plenty to enjoy throughout the season.
Half-term craft club
From Monday 26 October to Thursday 29 October, children can get creative at family-friendly craft workshops to create colourful Autumn-inspired creations to take home. From pumpkin decorations to giant bats and monster faces, these workshops are suitable for children, although children aged five and below may need help from an accompanying adult. The workshops will take place at the Visitor Pavilion, NW2 1FE from 10am to 12pm and again from 1pm to 3pm. No booking is required, see workshop programme.
Halloween dog parade
Bring your four-legged friend and join fellow dog lovers on Saturday 31 October at 11am for a fun Halloween celebration in support of Pets As Therapy. From tiny Dachshunds to giant Saint Bernards, all dogs are invited to dress up in their spookiest costumes and take part in the Halloween Dog Parade through Claremont Park. You can also attend as a spectator to enjoy the show. After the parade, pups can compete for a range of awards, including Best Halloween Look, while owners and spectators enjoy the stalls, games and music. If you would like your dog to take part, please register in advance. More details here.
Brent Cross West Photo Gallery
Join us at Brent Cross West station at 10am on Saturday 31 October for the launch of our first-ever community photo gallery in the station’s waiting room. Discover a collection of creative photographs captured by local residents and learn more about the stories behind the images. There’ll also be light refreshments, a chance to try your luck on our spin-the-wheel game, and an opportunity to meet others before making your way to the dog parade. To RSVP, please email transformingbx@barnet.gov.uk
Watch Spooky Movies
Enjoy a free programme of family-friendly films at the Visitor Pavilion from 4pm to 6pm on Monday 26, Wednesday 28 and Friday 30 October. Screenings include Coco, Hocus Pocus and Monsters, Inc. No booking is required, however, as seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, we recommend arriving early. Complimentary popcorn will also be provided.
Halloween Trail
Brent Cross Town’s popular Halloween Trail is back. Test your knowledge of Frankenstein, bats, witches and more as you explore the neighbourhood. Trail maps and free coloured pencils can be collected from the Visitor Pavilion, and completed trails can be returned there to claim a reward.
Food and drink
Whether you’re here for one of the events above or simply passing through, there are more places than ever to eat, drink and relax. Local favourites include, Arthur’s Coffee and Deli, Karma Bread Bakery, AFG Food and Wine, Gussy’s, and the recently opened restaurant and bar, Always Gladice. Co-op is also open for everyday essentials and more food and drink venues will be coming soon.
Brent Cross Town is the new park town being delivered in partnership between Related Argent and Barnet Council, at the heart of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme.
