Brent Cross Town’s Summer in the Park

Brent Cross Town are launching their popular summer programme which is full of events and activities for kids and families, including sports challenges and games inspired by the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The summer programme will start on Saturday 27 July and run throughout the holidays until Sunday 1 September; with events and activities happening from Thursday to Sunday each week. As well as family friendly events taking place, the programme also focuses on health and wellbeing activities for adults too. Take a look at the summer events planned:

Art Workshops

Hosted by local community artist Anna van der Poorten every Thursday throughout August in the Claremont Park Cabin. Two sessions:12pm to 2.30pm and 3pm to 5pm. No booking required but space is allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Basketball sessions

Hosted by Brent Bulls on Fridays between 2pm to 4pm at Claremont Park basketball court. No booking required but space is allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Wall Climbing

Learn the right technique to scale the wall by experienced instructors at The Exploratory Park. Minimum age is 5 years and adults are welcome to join in too! All participants must wear closed-toe shoes. No booking required. Sessions will run on Wednesday 21 August to Saturday 24 August and Monday 26 August.

Beat the Goalie

Run by Brent Cross Football Academy on Sundays (all of August and 1 September) from 2pm to 5pm at Claremont Park. No booking required but space is allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Women’s Yoga and Pilates (adults and teens)

Every Saturday (27 July and all of August), starting at 8.30am to 10am. Session will be hosted by BeLifted in the Visitor Pavilion.

Skateboarding lessons

Join skateboarding lessons designed to empower young people aged 7-15 by the Keep Rolling Project. Girls only classes are also available. Booking is required for all lessons and there’s a small £2 fee per lesson. Lessons are 10am to 1pm on Saturdays: 27 July and 2, 10 and 31 August and Sundays: 18 and 25 August. Baseball sessions

Enjoy 2-hour long sessions facilitated by experienced baseball coaches at the popular The 108 indoor baseball centre. The sessions are free to attend but you need to book your space here. Sessions take place during Saturdays on 27 July and 3, 10, 24, and 31 August.

Table Tennis

The table tennis tables in Exploratory Park are free to use every day throughout the summer from 7am to 8pm. Head to the Visitor Pavilion or Cricklewood Coffee Roasters to collect a set of bats and balls and see how long you can go without dropping the ball!

Just In Carnival

Popular Carnival Group, Just In Carnival, are hosting a buzzing free event at Claremont Park on 17 August from 1pm to 6pm, for the entire family. Activities include carnival costume making, steelpan workshops, dance class and more!

Live painting session

Watch celebrated artist Lois O’Hara paint one of her wonderful, vibrant artworks as part of The Maze on 27 July, from 12pm to 5pm. There’ll be arts and crafts and face painting to entertain the kids while you watch.
