Put Your Stamp on Brent Cross West
November 24, 2023
Calling local groups and budding artists to help co-create a new community artwork.
Brent Cross West station will be opening on Sunday 10 December and we want you to join local artist Elisa Cantarelli to create an exciting new artwork.
Workshops are taking place from Monday 27 November in Brent Cross Town and Cricklewood and this unique, community artwork will then be unveiled and displayed in the new Brent Cross West station on opening day.
The artist was tasked to come up with a new artwork to reflect and celebrate the diversity of both Barnet and Brent communities, which will be reconnected by the new station overbridge when Brent Cross West opens next month. The new bridge will give access across this part of the Midland Main Line for the first time since it was built more than 150 years ago, making it much easier to get around the area.
To be a part of this exciting project, we invite you to join the artist at one of our workshops, where you will be guided to use different artistic techniques to create the artwork. Each workshop will last two hours and is open to people of all ages from within the local community.
As well as being an important part of the new station artwork, you will also be able to meet and connect with other people in the community, including local groups, schools and organisations.
