May 28, 2025
Did you know that Brent Cross Town offers a range of events and activities that will keep you, your family members and friends all entertained? Check out a list of things you can do in the area.
Checkmate! Join our chess club
Brent Cross Town has launched a free chess club which you can join every Friday afternoon, from 12pm onwards. During the summer, the chess club will be located at Gussy’s Ice Cream parlour in Claremont Park, which is the perfect excuse to treat yourself to a yummy scoop of ice cream (whether you’ve won or lost a game!). Feel free to come alone or along with a group as this is a great opportunity to meet new people. Chess boards will be provided, but you can also bring along your own. No booking is required.
Join our women’s running group
Whether you’re an experienced runner, or want to start running, this group encourages you to be a part of a supportive and empowering run. The purpose of the runs is to bring together women from all types of backgrounds, experiences and interests, for a fun-filled morning of fitness, friendship, and fresh air. The group meets every Thursday at 9:30am outside the local Cricklewood Coffee Roasters, 15 Claremont Way, Brent Cross, London NW2 1AJ. It is free to participate, no need to register, just turn up!
Yardbirds Choir
Join the Yardbirds choir who meet every Sunday at 4pm to 5.30pm during term time at the Visitor Pavilion. The choir is led by local resident and singing teacher Ryan O’Riordan, who encourages you to join the choir, whether you’re an experienced singer or just want to practice a hobby. The choir is free to join and is a great way to meet and connect with new people. Please register your interest before attending.
Discover the area with a walking tour
Whether you’re a local looking to hear more about the Brent Cross Town development or a visitor wanting to experience the local area, join Brent Cross Town’s informative public walking tours which take place on Wednesdays at 5pm and on Sundays at 2pm. You can see the architectural 3D model and masterplan, and step outside to explore the parks, artwork installations and Brent Cross West station. Meet the guide at Visitor Pavilion, 145 Claremont Road, London NW2 1FE for the start of the tour, which should last between 45 minutes to an hour. The tours are free, but please register in advance here.
Enjoy a bite to eat or award-winning coffee
At Brent Cross Town, you have the choice of visiting the award-winning Cricklewood Coffee Roasters on Claremont Way, as well as Easter hot cross bun specials from Karma Bread Bakehouse. You can also try mouth-watering woodfired pizza from Happy Face Pizza, or a hot panini or ice cream from Gussy’s Ice Cream Parlour. Read more about this fantastic range of retailers here.
We encourage all our visitors to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible. Parking on nearby residential streets is not permitted, and enforcement patrols are in place.
