Help shape Brent Cross Town
August 16, 2024
Brent Cross Town is working with The University of Manchester to understand the impact of the development on people who live in and around the area, and how we can ensure it benefits the local community.
Do you live or work in or close to Brent Cross Town? This includes the nearby areas of Brent Cross, Hendon Central, West Hendon, Cricklewood, Dollis Hill, Temple Fortune and Golders Green.
If yes, then expert researchers are keen to hear from you on how the transformation of the Brent Cross area can improve the wellbeing of local people and to discuss their early findings with you.
Discussion sessions are taking place at Brent Cross Town Visitor Pavilion, 145 Claremont Road, NW2 1FE on the following dates and times:
- Wednesday 28 August (afternoon session from 2pm to 3.30pm) or (evening session from 6pm to 7.30pm)
- Wednesday 4 September (afternoon session from 2pm to 3.30pm) or (evening session from 6pm to 7.30pm)
You must be able to attend two sessions in total, one on each day, read the information packs that will be provided beforehand and complete a short survey.
As a thank you for your time and knowledge shared, you will be gifted with either Tesco gift vouchers, or One4All gift vouchers that can be used at over 200 retailers – the choice is yours. You can register to attend by visiting here.
What is the Brent Cross Town Flourishing Index?
The Flourishing Index is a long-term (10-year) research project. It measures the wellbeing of individuals and communities in and around Brent Cross Town. It is built around a central question: how can the regeneration of Brent Cross Town improve the wellbeing of the local population?
Early in the development of Brent Cross Town, four pledges were made. One of these pledges was that Brent Cross Town would be a place “where all can flourish”. Brent Cross Town has teamed up with researchers to find out how this can best be achieved and to research what needs to be done.
More details about Brent Cross Town’s Flourishing Index and what the research has discovered already can be found here.
Brent Cross Town is the new park town at the heart of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme, which is being delivered in partnership between Related Argent and Barnet Council.
