Help name Brent Cross Town’s streets and squares

July 19, 2024

Brent Cross Town are looking for your help to come up with creative names for the new streets and squares that will form a part of the neighbourhood.

Some streets have already been named which you can see here. There are many more streets, squares and buildings being developed with an opportunity for you to leave a legacy in your local neighbourhood. Key new places which need to be named in the year include:

  • A large public square facing Claremont Park
  • The new pavilion in the heart of Clitterhouse Playing Fields
  • A brand-new community hub

To share your street name ideas, fill in the form here or drop in at the Visitor Pavilion before the end of September.

Here’s some guideline of do’s and don’t to help you submit your name suggestions:

Do

  • Suggest names inspired by local stories and legends.
  • Consider potential themes such as nature, parks, sport, play or wellbeing.
  • Suggest as many names as you like on the form.
  • Include a reason/story behind each suggestion.

Don’t

  • Suggest names of historical people given the difficulty of gaining permission.
  • Name a street after any living person.
  • Include names with any religious or political connections.
  • Suggest any names similar to ones already in use within the Borough.
