Join Our Women’s Running Group
April 24, 2024
One of the four key pledges at Brent Cross Town is to develop a place where everyone can flourish no matter their age, gender, ability or interests. Our family run activities have been a huge success and now we’ve been developing our community programme to be of interest to all.
We know women face more barriers than men when it comes to physical activity and that’s why we are excited to announce the launch of a new women’s running group, in collaboration with BeLifted every Thursday morning .
BeLifted is a community-led organisation with a vision to uplift women and young girls through the power of positive music, fitness and projects.
Whether you’re an experienced runner, or want to start running, this group encourages you to join and be a part of a supportive and empowering run. The purpose of the runs is to bring together women from all types of backgrounds, experiences and interests, for a fun-filled morning of fitness, friendship, and fresh air. The jogs and runs will take place in and around the local area, including the popular Claremont Park, for approximately an hour.
The first running session will start on Thursday 25 April. The group will meet every Thursday at 9:30am outside the local Cricklewood Coffee Roasters, 15 Claremont Way, Brent Cross, London NW2 1AJ. What’s even better is that after your run, you can enjoy a tasty coffee or cold drink at a discounted price.
It is free to participate in the running group, but please register in advance here. All ages are welcome, and the group aims to go on runs whether it’s a sunny or rainy day.
