Nominate a community hero who makes a difference

July 23, 2021

Do you know someone who has dedicated themselves to making a difference to other people? Then we have got the awards for you!

The Barnet Town Centre Heroes Exhibition aims to celebrate the people across the borough who have gone above and beyond to serve their community.

And the winners will have their work publicly acknowledged, alongside a professional portrait of them, in a town centre display, as well as online.

The exhibition is concentrating on Barnet’s seven main town centres (Burnt Oak, Edgware, Cricklewood, Finchley Central, North Finchley, Golders Green and Chipping Barnet). Organisers are currently only seeking nominations where contributions are associated with each of these town centres, and the nominees must be happy to be celebrated publicly.

The Town Centre Heroes initiative is part of the Discover Barnet campaign, and a special panel will select the heroes.

To nominate somebody, click here to complete the nomination form, including your hero’s contact details, a paragraph describing what they’ve done that feels so special, and the personal impact they’ve made on your own life or that of others.

Nominations must be made by Friday 6 August.
