Back by popular demand, this year’s repair cafe is being held in partnership with North London Waste Authority and Brent Cross Town at The WorkShop, Claremont Way, NW2 1FE, on Sunday 15 June from 11am to 3pm. See below for how to get there.

This is a brilliant opportunity for you to do your bit in taking care of the planet, reduce waste and save some pennies! You can even learn some new skills from our volunteers which you can put into use in the future to repair your own items. Every broken toaster, wobbly bike, or torn jumper that gets fixed instead of thrown away brings us one step closer to net zero. Give your stuff a second life and help cut carbon emissions. You must book your repair slot in advance to avoid disappointment; more details and slots can be found here.

Additionally, if you have any unwanted laptops at your home, please feel free to bring them for donation to computer recycling charity, 2econd chance.

This event is part of Barnet Climate Action Month (BCAM) which will be taking place from 1 to 30 June 2025. BCAM runs alongside London Climate Action Week to raise awareness of Barnet’s commitment to becoming a net zero borough by 2042, as well as encouraging climate action across Barnet in all its forms.

And, if you’ve not yet had a chance to visit Brent Cross Town, Barnet’s newest neighbourhood, this is a great chance to drop in and find out more about the plans for the area, take a stroll through Claremont Park, or stop for some refreshments at Spruce and Larch or award-winning Cricklewood Coffee Roasters on Claremont Way, as well as baked goods from Karma Bread Bakehouse. You can also try mouth-watering woodfired pizza from Happy Face Pizza, or a hot panini or ice cream from Gussy’s Ice Cream Parlour. Read more about this fantastic range of retailers here.

Getting here

We ask attendees to consider the environment and arrive by foot, bicycle, or public transport where possible. There are several bike stands on Claremont Way. You can arrive at Brent Cross Town by using the new Brent Cross West station or the nearest tube station which is Brent Cross, on the Edgware branch of the Northern line. You can also stop at the Claremont Way bus stop for service numbers 102, 189 and C11.

Brent Cross Town is the new park town being delivered in partnership between Related Argent and Barnet Council, at the heart of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme.
