Repair café returns

October 7, 2025

Barnet Council’s repair café at Brent Cross Town is back by popular demand. Book your free slot and bring your faulty items for repair on Sunday 19 October.

Following the success of the first repair café during Barnet Climate Action Month (June 2025), which saw over 100 people sign up for slots throughout the day, Barnet Council is hosting another repair café at Brent Cross Town. This time round, we’re able to offer even more residents the opportunity to breathe new life into their personal belongings with government funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), which is also supported by the Mayor of London.

Whether it’s a broken electrical appliance or, wobbly bike, or torn jumper, do your bit to reduce waste and bring us one step closer to our net zero goals. The repair café will be hosted at Brent Cross Town’s The WorkShop, Claremont Way, NW2 1FE, on Sunday 19 June from 11am to 3pm. You must book your repair slot in advance to avoid disappointment; more details and slots can be found here.

This event also forms a part of Circular Economy Week (#CEweek2025) which runs from Saturday 18 October to Sunday 26 October and celebrates initiatives that help accelerate cities’ transition to a low carbon economy and supports communities to improve their way of sustainable life. Barnet Council is committed to becoming one of London’s most sustainable boroughs, and we encourage you to join us on this journey. Learn more about how Barnet is becoming more sustainable here.

Getting here

We ask attendees to consider the environment and arrive by foot, bicycle, or public transport where possible. There are several bike stands on Claremont Way. You can arrive at Brent Cross Town by using the new Brent Cross West station or the nearest tube station which is Brent Cross, on the Edgware branch of the Northern line. You can also stop at the Claremont Way bus stop for service numbers 102, 189 and C11.

Brent Cross Town is the new park town being delivered in partnership between Related Argent and Barnet Council, at the heart of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme.
