Something Exciting is Coming This Summer
May 12, 2023
Barnet Council has teamed up with the London Festival of Architecture (LFA) this year and some events will be taking place at our very own Brent Cross Town.
The LFA is a month-long celebration of architecture taking place every June across London so prepare for a series of events celebrating architecture, local art and cultural assets which is being hosted in Barnet this year.
With more than 70 events, exploring the theme ‘In Common’, Barnet’s LFA programme is packed full of exciting activities for all ages to get involved. These will be led by a community of local event organisers from across the town centres including architects, artists, and local groups and organisations. Barnet Libraries are also one of the contributors and event organisers for the LFA programme at Barnet.
Highlights include a behind-the-scenes tour of North Finchley artsdepot, talks and an exhibition from Stonegrove Community Trust, workshops by local artists and much more.
The programme also includes two special artworks to be installed for June -‘Let’s Meet on the Edge’ in Edgware and ‘Connecting Colindale: A Flight Path Folly’, alongside other talks, guided tours, workshops and family-friendly activities.
