Summer Activities at Brent Cross Town

Brent Cross Town’s popular Summer in the Park programme returns for its third year running and this year, there is a focus on sport and play, designed to boost physical and mental wellbeing for adults and families.
The summer programme starts on Friday 25 July and will run throughout the holidays until Sunday 31 August; with free events and activities taking place on different days of the week. Some events require advance booking, so please ensure you secure your spots here.

Events of Children
Art Workshops
Hosted by local community artist Anna van der Poorten every Friday throughout August in the Claremont Park Cabin. Two sessions:12pm to 2pm and 3pm to 5pm. No booking is required but space is allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Beat the Goalie
Run by Brent Cross Football Academy on Sundays (last Sunday of July and all of August) from 2pm to 5pm at Claremont Park. No booking is required but space is allocated on a first come, first served basis.
Skateboarding lessons
Join free skateboarding lessons designed to empower young people aged 7-15 by the Keep Rolling Project. Girls only classes are also available. Lessons run between 10am to 1pm on Saturdays: 26 July and 9, 17, 23 and 30 August. Booking is required.
Events for both adults and children
Chase Tag
Take part in an exciting game that is a mix of parkour and a classic game of tag – which is now a global sport played by athletes, stunt performers, and Ninja Warrior champions. Children’s sessions take place every Friday throughout August (and one on Saturday 6 September) from 3.30pm to 4.30pm. Adult session take place on the same dates, from 5pm to 6pm. Baseball at The 108
Enjoy baseball sessions facilitated by experienced baseball coaches at the popular The 108 indoor baseball centre. The sessions are free to attend but you need to book your space here. Children (8+) sessions run from 2pm to 4pm and 4.30pm to 6pm for adults.
Basketball sessions
Hosted by Barnet Bulldogs Basketball Club, basketball sessions will run on Fridays during August between 10am to 1pm at the Claremont Park basketball court. No booking required but space is allocated on a first come, first served basis. This activity is suitable for anyone above the age of 5.
Table Tennis
The table tennis tables in Exploratory Park are free to use every day throughout the summer from 8am to 6pm. Head to the Visitor Pavilion or Cricklewood Coffee Roasters to collect a set of bats and balls and see how long you can go without dropping the ball!
Just In Carnival
Popular Carnival Group, Just In Carnival, are hosting a buzzing free event at Claremont Park on Saturday 16 August from 1pm to 6pm, for the entire family. Activities include carnival costume making, steelpan workshops, dance class and more!
Events of Adults
Yoga for adults
Enjoy free rejuvenating yoga sessions at the Brent Cross Town Visitor Pavilion taking place on Saturday 26 July, 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 August from 8.30am to 10am. Booking is required, reserve your spot here.
Bootcamp Fitness
Get active with free Bootcamp fitness sessions led by TOTA Health & Fitness in Exploratory Park every Friday lunchtime from 12.30pm to 1.15pm to help you move better and feel energised. Classes are free to attend but booking is required.
Women’s Running Club
Whether you’re an experienced runner, or want to start running, this group meets outside Cricklewood Coffee Roasters at Claremont Way every Thursday, at 9.30am for an hour. No booking required, simply come along.
Chess Club
You can play chess every Friday afternoon, from 12pm onwards at Gussy’s Ice Cream parlour in Claremont Park. Feel free to come alone or along with a group as this is a great opportunity to meet new people. Chess boards will be provided, but you can also bring along your own. No booking is required.
Events at Our Yard
Our Yard at Clitterhouse Farm are hosting a range of fun workshops, live music events and activities this summer. They also have a popular Night Market on Tuesday 9 September from 4pm to 8pm. More details can be found here.
We encourage all our visitors to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible. Parking on nearby residential streets is not permitted, and enforcement patrols are in place.
