Support Women in Sport’s #TimeTogether

August 18, 2022

We’re working with Brent Cross Town and Women in Sport on a research initiative to support the charity’s #TimeTogether campaign.

The #TimeTogether campaign is a national initiative from Women in Sport designed to encourage teenage girls and their mother figures to take time out, exercise, build bonds and have fun together.

The campaign also aims to encourage local sports and exercise providers to organise activities and inspire more women and girls in our local area to get together and participate in exercise more regularly.

If you are a mum, grandmother, or mother figure, or a teenage girl, you can get involved in the campaign  by taking part in a short 12-minute survey. The results will to help inform a campaign tailored for Barnet to improve sport opportunities for women and ensure more women and girls can come together and be active.

Kate Nicholson, Head of Insight and Innovation, Women in Sport, added: “We are excited to be able to develop the #TimeTogether initiative in Brent Cross Town area and look forward to hearing the views of women and girls from the local community to help shape the programme to suit their needs.”

Fit & Active Barnet (FAB) which is driven by Barnet Council is also assisting with the delivery of the #TimeTogether campaign. FAB represents partners in the borough who aim to assist local residents to live a more active and healthier lifestyle.

Brent Cross Town is the neighbourhood at the heart of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme, find out more on our webpages.

Take part in the short survey here until 31 August
