Planters Perk Up Purbeck Drive
August 10, 2023
New planters have been installed as part of a temporary road closure of Purbeck Drive (between Cotswold Gardens and Clitterhouse Playing Fields).
The large wooden planters were installed on Thursday 20 July on one end of Purbeck Drive, closing off access for cars coming into and out of Purbeck Drive from Cotswold Gardens. Pedestrians can still access the road via pavements.
The council has put this temporary closure in place to address concerns raised to us by residents regarding anti-social behaviour happening on the road. CCTV has also been installed to ensure added safety on the road.
Since putting in the planters, residents told us it has made a big improvement and they are pleased at the speed of which the council has been able to address their concerns. The plants are currently being looked after local groups who will continue to water and maintain them.
Well done to all the teams involved from across the Council and to our joint venture partners Related Argent, who we are working with the develop Brent Cross Town. It was a real team effort.
