WORK SCHEDULE

Work commencing: Monday 20 April 2026 until April 2027

Contractors: Galldris Group

Working hours:Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 1pm. On weekdays, there will be a half hour start-up and shut-down period before and after the working hours.

The playing fields will be delivered in three phases to minimise impact on residents as much as possible. Noisy equipment, such as pneumatic drills, will be surrounded with acoustic barriers where possible.

Current works overview:

  • From Monday 20 April, contractors will begin clearing the site and setting up a small welfare and delivery office which you will see located near Swannell Way. Teams will also be installing Heras fencing along the border of the northern part of the playing fields, from Prayle Grove up to Swannell Way. This will take up to three weeks to complete.
  • The first phase of construction activity will then begin to take place in the northern part of the playing fields, close to Brent Cross Town. In this phase, we’re creating a multi-purpose lawn area and natural amphitheatre with picnic tables, benches, as well as new trees and wildflowers that will create new spaces for people to meet and spend time together.
  • While works take place, we will need to restrict access through this area of the playing fields. The southern part of the playing fields will remain open, although there will be new access routes.
