Geron Way

As part of the Brent Cross Cricklewood regeneration programme, works will be carried out at the junction of A5 Edgware Road and Geron Way to deliver improvements to the highway in the area.

The works include widening the junction and improving footways and street lighting to address safety concerns raised to us by residents. We will also be adding a new pedestrian crossing at this junction to make it safer for people to cross this part of the road.

Work schedule

Work commences: Monday 19 May 2025

Contractors: FM Conway

Work Hours: Monday to Fridays between 8am to 6pm and 8am to 1pm on Saturdays.

Work includes:

  • Widening the junction and improving footways and street lighting. This will require lane closures on the A5 Edgware Road and a southbound direction closure of Geron Way.
  • Road resurfacing, replacing road markings and adding a new pedestrian crossing. These set of works will be undertaken overnight and require a one-week road closure.
  • Humber Road (SC) bus stop will be temporarily relocated to approximately 100 metres south of the existing stop.

We expect the works to take up to five months to complete and have been split into two phases to keep traffic flowing and minimise any disruption. Clear signage and safe pedestrian crossing facilities will be provided.
